The Ghost – part 2

Harry, a talented but lonely, depressed and self-conscious young musician decides to give up his dream as he feels he is going nowhere. He occasionally performs at bars but isn’t paid enough. Harry decides that he will do one last live show at a local bar before moving on in his life and look for another job.

During his performance at the bar, Harry sees a beautiful girl with a cute smile in the crowd. Their eyes meet, and then suddenly she pukes all over the floor. Harry is shattered. He feels embarrassed that his music is so bad that makes people sick. He finishes his show in humiliation.

Outside of the bar, Harry is caught up by the same girl as he was walking away hurriedly. He gets awkward as he isn’t prepared for this unexpected encounter. The girl, named Annie, apologizes to Harry about what happened and explains that she was drunk. Annie, who introduces herself to be an up-and-coming singer, admits that she thinks Harry’s talent is criminally underrated. She is now looking for a songwriter to help her finishes her songs, to which Harry says yes.

As the two work on the songs together, they begin to feel the chemistry. Harry finds his passion for music again by working with Annie, who inspires him more than ever. Annie’s music is also brought to another dimension, making it much more sophisticated and meaningful, thanks to Harry. They find themselves falling in love with each other after Annie’s debut single ‘The Ghost’ turns out to be a tremendous hit.

Annie’s overnight success is much harder than they both think. She gets overloaded with shows, contracts, music videos, while still having to complete her album. She doesn’t have time for Harry anymore with spotlights all over her. Annie’s record company realizes her potential and wants her to work with a famous producer for her coming album. However, Harry begins to feel left out, like only a step in Annie’s ladder to success. They have a huge argument, which results in Annie storming out of their apartment.

A year later, in her speech after receiving the Grammy Award, Annie reveals to the whole world what happened to her that night. As soon as she left, Harry received a phone call from the record company, asking for the progress of the album. Harry was shocked as it was only then revealed to him that Annie rejected their request, and insisted on having Harry as the producer for her album, otherwise everything would be canceled. Harry felt so ashamed of his actions and was determined to make it right.

Annie ran to the same bar that they met, crying and drinking. Suddenly, she heard a familiar song coming up. It was Harry, playing ‘The Ghost’, the song they wrote together. It brought back all the good memories that they had. Annie walked up to the stage and sang the song with Harry, both putting on a performance of a lifetime. By the end, Harry, who now was on his knees, proposed to Annie while pulling out a beautiful engagement ring. Annie couldn’t hold in her tears before she can say yes. They hugged and kissed each other in the audience’s applauds.
